Let's Debate: Mockingjay Part 1 and 2
What do you guys think of Mockingjay being split into two parts? Good thing? Bad thing? Where would it be wisest to split it? I want to hear all your thoughts about this and then I'll let you know mine! :)
I agree Fangirl. At first, I wasn't so sure about the idea but then the more I thought about it the better I thought it would be. There is A TON of detail in the book and this way they should be able to include it all like they did so well with Catching Fire. Where do you think they should split the two movies? I think I have a pretty good idea of where it would be best. :)
I haven't read the book in a while, so I don't remember many details, but I'd love to see it end on a cliffhanger, like Catching Fire. I laughed so hard at the theater when I group of people went, "IT DID NOT JUST END LIKE THAT!"
So, I think they should break it when Katniss sees herself get shot on television in District Two. So it goes like this... Katniss makes her television speech thing, then says "If we burn, you burn with us." Then we see the man raise his gun, hear a gunshot, see her crumble to the ground and then the screen goes black.
I think it's a great thing it's being split into two parts. This way, they can add more details from the book.
